LANDOWNERS ARE THANKED
A lot of things have been happening with our club over the summer months
not the least of which was the Landowner Appreciation Barbecue.
The Elk Point Trail Riders played host to all landowners and their
families whom have granted the Trail Riders permission and access to their
land for Trail Development. This event was held in September, and even
though the day started out overcast and cold, it turned out to be a beautiful
afternoon and all attending enjoyed a steak dinner, corn on the cob, baked
potato's, and a chance to visit with other landowners.
After the meal a presentation was made to Mike Meyenberg for his work
with the club as secretary as Mike has had a job transfer to Edson. We
will miss you at the meetings Mike.
Club president Dale Renias then welcomed all those in attendance and
thanked all landowners for their help in Trail Development. Without landowners
that understand the need for a Safe, Controlled Trail system we would not
have Any Trails to use.
Along with the Barbecue, landowners were eligible to a host of door
prizes among which were five gas barbecues.
I would like to thank T & T Power Sports, Prime Oil Field, Kudu
Industries, Corlac, and Midfield Supply for their very generous donation
of the Barbecues.
Other door prizes were donated by Wilter Auto, Stanrick Construction,
ATB Financial,
Riders Connection, Power Merchants, CJ Petroleum, Wozniak Bulk Fuels,
A & J Oilfield,
and the Brown Family. Thank You all.
I would also like to give a big Thanks to the Elks Club for the use of the Elks Campsite on Kehewin Lake. It would have been rather hard to hold this event without such a great site as it is very central for all who attended. Thank You Very Much Elks!
